As a psychiatrist, I offer diagnosis and therapy of psychiatric disorders based on current guidelines. The diagnosis of mental illnesses includes the exclusion of an underlying physical illness. If not already done, this can be done in the practice as well as in cooperation with doctors from other disciplines and your family doctor.

In case of emergency
In case of an acute mental distress or crisis, you may need to get help quickly. This is especially the case if there is a danger to yourself (suicide risk) or to others (threat to other people). In such cases, you can contact the emergency services (in Europe 112) or the police. In Berlin, psychiatric emergency care is organised based on the place of residence. This means that you will be taken to a clinic in the district where you are registered. If you do not have a registration address in Berlin, you will usually be taken to the nearest accessible clinic or should attend there.
